Every kind of vampire has enhanced strength, speed, durability, and healing, as a constant. They can trigger manually or be triggered into an enhanced, vampiric state were their abilities are strengthened, or other abilities are awakened.
There are three main kinds of vampire each with different strengths that manifest. You'll be able to choose in-game which kind MC is.
The most common kind can easily blend in with human society, even in their enhanced, vampiric state--in which, their super speed is the ability most increased.
A less common manifestation, is one akin to a werewolf. When they are triggered into a vampiric state, their body changes, becoming more gangley and animalistic in stature--muscly, taller, veiny, clawed. They are much stronger than other kinds of vampires, but not as stealthy, lucid, or quick.
The third manifestation is the least common. In their vampiric state, they have little capability of movement, but they have the ability to entrance another, rendering them suggestable and stunned. They can also communicate telepathically with an entranced individual. They can also hover just above the ground, making stealth their strong suit.
As for the major, it will have consquences, but nothing too major 😉. Mostly flavor text, but MC might have relevant/helpful knowledge in certain situations depending on their major.
I loove the dynamic with Angelina and related to her: for the nonbinary mc, can they romance Angelina if afab/feminine? Don't want to go far into her route in the future with that mc if it's not possible.
Good question, and no, nonbinary MCs can't romance her, (despite any feminine charms they may possess /j). I thought about that decision for a while, and especially because nonbinary can include a lot of differing gender expressions, it made more sense not to allow it. If I was better at coding maybe I could make something work, but I'd need a more complex gender system I think.
There will be some differences in the unrequited love path if MC is nonbinary and not a man.
Both cis and trans women can romance her, just to be clear.
