I'd honestly love an AU where, pissed off at the Clans and her own Clanmates, Squirrelflight leaves with the Sisters after Moonlight's death. She's heartbroken and it hurts to tell Bramblestar, but she needs a break from the hurt that comes from being a Clan cat. She promises she'll be back, and leaves with them and has her own adventure. She watches kits be born, and Squirrel, Leaf, and Moon grow. She tells them stories of the Clans, and the Great Battle, and the story of her and Leafpool. She feels like she finally got the litter she wanted. Two of the kits, Leaf and Moon, are toms, which means they'll be leaving the Sisters when they're old enough. Squirrelflight decides she'll go back to the Clans when they leave.

Eventually, the time comes. Squirrelflight thanks the Sisters for letting her stay there, and is shocked to hear that Leaf, Moon, and Squirrel want to join her in ThunderClan (yeah in this AU, ThunderClan would be much less overpopulated so don't worry about that). The kits say goodbye to their sisters and leave with Squirrelflight.

When she returns, after a moon or two of journeying, she finds out that Ivypool was made the new deputy after her. Bramblestar is so happy to see her, and apologizes for his behavior. He asks if she wants her position as deputy back, but she refuses, saying Ivypool deserves the position. Squirrel, Leaf, and Moon become apprentices, apprenticed to Hollytuft, Fernsong, and Stormcloud, and Squirrelflight treats them as her own kits, just like the Three.

Consider: after the events of Squirrelflight's Hope, Squirrelflight more or less adopts Tree. It's not official or anything but she looks at him and mentally goes "that's my son"

OH MY GOD YES especially after how she sees how Moonlight treats him she gets kind of? Protective of him? She doesn't know why but she just feels that he needs some motherly love and she has more than enough to give. Tree is Squirrelflight's son and she should have adopted Leaf, Moon, and Squirrel
