7.0 favorite things

A few of my favorite things in WordPress 7.0: Contributions picked back up and set new high-water marks. The command palette is great for power users and agents. PHP block registration, finally. We unfroze wp-admin with dozens of design tweaks, view transitions, and visual revisions. There’s a lot more to do, but it’s feeling much nicer. I'm excited to revisit our core screen and settings in the coming releases.

Question: Where are the young people?

First, my brother, you're 25! You're a young person, to me at least now. :)

I actually don't care about the age of the people getting involved with WordPress, you can be crufty and resistant to change at any age.

What I want are those that are young at heart, at any age.

Stay hungry, stay foolish.

Look at the energy Dave Winer is bringing to WordPress at 71. Can't wait to see his talk at WCUS. We're all learning. Maybe we'll get him to install an SSL certificate on scripting.com. ;)
