Overall, Hawkins wasn’t too bad. It was nothing like California, but the people were nice enough, and she had been making some friends. Billy hated it, warning her of the ‘hicks’, ‘rednecks’, and ‘people to stay away from’, but out of all the warnings, she had yet to hear one about Henry, who was one of the people she hated the most. Probably because he was so much like her step-brother in everything from looks to personality. It was like a nightmare she could never wake up from.

As he approached her, Max only rolled her eyes. “Ugh, what do you want, Bowers?”

He was older now, a bit more brave when it came to the bullies, but as Eddie was older, so was Bowers. It wasn’t like he could just catch up and suddenly have an upper hand on the other kid. The actual beatings seemed to be less and less now, maybe he only liked hitting younger kids, it wasn’t like Eddie knew what it was like inside his head.

Eddie moved to push him back, riding the wave of bravery.

He had to hold back a laugh as he saw the boy get visibly angry at him just being his flamboyant self. “Are you going to have a stroke? Never seen a gay man before?” A hand covering his mouth as he grinned widely. “ Thank God for Rednecks~ Because man you guys are entertaining as hell!”

It had been a long fucking day.  Richie’s head had hit the pillow set on the couch that was supposed to be ‘decorative’ and he was out like a light, breaths quickly evening out and everything completely relaxed.  He squirmed and shifted just enough to get more comfortable, and then stilled, one arm dangling towards the floor while the other curled under the pillow to keep it in place, legs sprawled out carelessly.
