For Discussion Prompt 009: Other people's relationships are sometimes weird for me. I literally cannot imagine experiencing romantic feelings, so sometimes I have a hard time connecting to other people's actions/experiences. For a long time that disconnect made me feel isolated and excluded (tbh it still does a bit)... (1/2)
(2/2) ...but one day I decided to respond to that feeling by searching the aro tag on Tumblr and turning my focus away from the connection I lack and onto the community that I'm a part of. I think that was the point when I started to really embrace the aromantic side of identity, and it has been a really fulfilling and validating way to respond to those negative emotions.

Discussion basics under the cut!
These questions are only to jump-start your thinking! Feel free to talk about anything and everything related to the topic, or to branch off in your own topics. We want you to discuss this, not keep within any set of guidelines.
You can respond any way you'd like! If posted within the week of the prompt's posting, we will do our best to boost your response. Reblogged additions and original posts we are tagged in (using the tracked tag #splendaros - note that there is NO DASH and NO SPACE in that tag!) will be reblogged to this blog, if you want your response boosted. Asks and submissions will be posted to this blog, and you can remain anonymous that way if you wish. Replies and tag musings will be read by the mods and perhaps your fellow aros, but will not be boosted by the blog if you want to express yourself in a more low-key way. Do whatever you feel comfortable with - and please refrain from engaging in d*scourse on our posts. And be respectful to everyone!
If you are not aromantic, arospec, or questioning, you are of course welcome to follow the blog but we do ask that you please refrain from adding your two cents to these discussions. If you have questions, you can direct them to me (Mod A) amazingaro or arogimli. This is meant to build discussion within the aromantic community!
