So I've been a long time reader of yours but only just now I'm reading What Defines Us and it feels like Boundless in that Weiss remembers their past but Ruby doesn't and they get to fall in love all over again. Anyway it's great and I love your work and giving us detailed sections of exciting fun things that I feel like a lot of authors skip over!

I've always considered WDU to be the universe that started it all. I think they earned infinite lives together after what they went through!

something struck me while re-reading WDU

I think this is my favorite Blake i've ever read

In many stories, it seems like "being Yang's girlfriend" is her only reason for being there.

In WDU she is the MVP (although it's close, love the whole team).

Ruby's "she's like a sister to me" doesn't fit anywhere better than here <3

She's TOTALLY the mvp in that story! She had the unenviable position of trying to be supportive of Yang, Ruby, and Weiss, who were all in completely different types of disarray 🤣 but she handled it so well! I really loved that for her. Instead of her running away to make things easier, she really dug in and resolved herself to help make things better because she knew that they all needed Weiss back in their lives

I will say, I enjoy the ending you took for WDU because to me it implies that Ruby's memories are there, just buried deep down where she can't access them except for muscle memory, like when she unlocks their front door without Weiss ever telling her the pin

I was really happy with that too! I felt like it was a good balance of not completely losing the old ruby, but letting the new ruby still grow into her own.

Also, I needed those buried memories to explain how she falls in love with weiss so fast 😂
