Omega Force every time they’re given free reign within an established franchise:
“Okay but what if— and hear me out— the world was destroyed and now we’re in a horrible apocalyptic offshoot of the main canon? And also it’s Minecraft. Yeahhhh we’re gonna have so many silly monsters in it as well. And so much fucked up lore… And also it’s literally gonna be the best game ever. Yeahhhh… 👍”
This is abt Dragon Quest Builders/Pokemon Pokopia btw
i wish i had all the time for doing the things i love. capitalism makes it so difficult to simply survive. too many days i don't have energy for reading, writing, playing music, or doing crafts. the worlds the capitalists destroy in an endless pursuit of profits. lots of times i ask myself how to live, not only to survive.
i really love all the reaping week posts, thank you 💚
You deserve to do the things you love! And while I could try and give you ways to do some of it while in the background that's not really the point. You deserve to dedicate time to these things not just steal time away!!
I'm glad I can bring you some comfort and a space to vent if nothing else.
Harry stood in shock, staring at the body that Draco had just knocked out of a tree and killed right in front of everyone at the park.
"Draco," he breathed, covering his mouth with his hand. "What-"
"There's not time," Draco said, he turned to look at Harry even as other people started to notice something was going on, "Do you trust me?"
"Of course I do," he replied without hesitation.
Draco held out a hand, "We need to go."
He didn't even stop to think, he just reached out and took Draco's hand and allowed himself to be apparated away.
When they landed, Harry had no idea where he was, it looked like a vault of some sort. Draco went straight to a chest in the corner. "They're going to want to arrest me," he said, voice ridiculously calm.
"What?"
Draco continued to stuff a bag full of what appeared to be galleons. "The Ministry is going to come looking for me; they've been waiting for this excuse for years. I'm running," he said, finally looking over his shoulder at Harry. "I'm sure you're confused-"
"Very."
"But there isn't much time. You have a choice, you can stay here and have a normal life-"
"I'm coming with you," he interrupted, shaking his head.
The other man's eyes welled up with tears, "We might be running the rest of our lives."
"I coming with you," he said fiercely.
(Read more below the cut)
"You're sure?" he said, even as they heard some commotion outside of the door to the vault, shouting and slamming as though they were trying to knock everything down.
He nodded, "Positive."
Draco held out an old hat, "Hold on, then."
Harry grabbed one side and a moment later, just as the door was being blown off it's hinges, the portkey activated and they were sucked through time and space.
They ended up inside of a dark, dusty house, "Don't stop," Draco said, leading Harry down the stairs and outside.
"Where are we?" he asked as they hurried down the sidewalk.
"Paris," Draco replied as looked both ways before tugging Harry across the street toward a sophisticated looking apartment. He rang the doorbell, "Come on," he hissed under his breath. "Come on, come on."
The door opened revealing Pansy, "Draco, darling!" she said, "I wasn't expecting you.
"I need the music box portkey," he interrupted.
"Pardon?"
He shook his head, "Pansy, you're my best friend and you know that I want to tell you everything but I don't have time. Please," he implored. "Give me the music box."
"How do you even know-"
"There's not time," he repeated. "Please, Pansy."
She turned and they followed her inside. Pansy had to rummage around for several minutes that Draco spent tapping his fingers on his thigh and making Harry even more nervous than he'd been before.
When she brought it back to him, Draco kissed her cheek, "You're an angel. Thank you." Then he held it out to Harry and the portkey was activated and they went hurtling through once more.
Upon landing, Draco held out his hand, "Last jump," he said.
Harry took the proffered hand and they apparated again, this time landing just outside of a cottage on a beach. The air smelled salty and he could hear the waves crashing on the shore.
The other man preformed a complex series of spells to set up wards. When the magic was humming all around them, Draco cast one more spell, then nodded and headed toward the cabin, "It's not much," he called, "But it's surprisingly difficult to make plans for the past from the future."
"What?" Harry asked as he followed him inside. "Draco, what's going on? Who was that guy? How did you know the Ministry was coming for you?"
Draco made his way to the cupboard in the kitchen and didn't turn to look at him as he said, "That was Brian Axley. He stalked me for three years before attempting to kill me."
"Oh Godric," Harry breathed. "Are you alright? What happened? When did he try to kill you?"
"Moments after I cursed him out of the tree," he said.
He replayed that sentence over again in his mind before deciding he'd heard correctly. "What?"
Draco took out a box of tea and some biscuits, nodding to the table, "Sit."
So Harry sat and waited for Draco to explain what the hell was going on.
"Brian Axley murdered me on October 29, 2005."
"But that's today," he said, brow furrowing.
"Correct," Draco affirmed. "You spent the next 7 months trying to find a way to bring me back and eventually came across a dark magic ritual in one of my books that allowed you to travel back in time in order to save someone. The catch is that someone else has to die to balance out the scales."
"What?" he repeated.
"You," Draco continued, "Being the self sacrificing idiot that you are, decided that meant you needed to sacrifice yourself." He shook his head, "We will be having a talk about that, by the way," he added before continuing, "Fortunately you said 'a life for a life' and I realized what you'd done."
He shook his head, "This doesn't make sense. I'm not dead, you're not dead."
"Correct. Because I understood that this ritual didn't require self sacrifice. So I waited seven months, seven days, seven hours, and seven minutes and I came back to kill Axley before he could kill either of us."
"But how did you know the Ministry was coming for you?"
"Because that's what happened last time. I was convicted of murder and thrown in Azkaban but we made a plan and I tried again after you did a whole bunch of leg work to find this place and a way for us to get here."
Harry stared at him for a long moment, "So what now?"
"Now you come here and let me kiss you," Draco whispered. "Because it's been an eternity since I've gotten to hold you properly."
He walked across the room and Draco pulled him into kiss him, his lips desperate against Harry's.
"Salazar I've missed you," he murmured.
"I love you," Harry replied as his heart twisted painfully in his chest, an echo of a memory of loss and heartache. "Thanks for protecting me," he murmured, "For protecting us."
I was at this show. I was 16. I’m not in this video (that I see) but I was on the barricade and you see my friends and I during a bunch of different songs. I heard new songs live for the first time this night. They played “don’t stay” twice so they could be sure they had a perfect shot for the live airing. It was the first time I met the band. I got to hear all of Meteora before it was released at an exclusive listening party with Rob and Brad and Chester. We got priority access because we were on the street team and my two friends and I were the first people in the building and on the floor. It literally cost us $2 to see arguably the biggest alt-rock band at the time in a 1500 (?) capacity theater.
I miss Chester. It’s been three years and sometimes I still cannot believe he’s gone.
