The thing is, the shrek animation isn’t bad, it’s good animation, but it’s such a jarring difference from the originals that it’s just not appealing. Especially when you think about how that one recent Dreamworks intro had a similar looking Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey to the old movies. Like the difference is like:
