BAND OF THE DAY #69 - Dam Mantle Tom Marshallsay is Dam Mantle, who's recently come back from touring with Gold Panda. He released his "WE" EP back in July and now he's back with "Spirit". His dark rhythmic sounds and innovative use of analogue instruments epitomize atmospheric electronic music, and his art student background explains a creativity that the young Glaswegian possesses. Apparently he also plays a really impressive live show, effort is put into ensuring every show is different from the last displaying spontaneity yet faultless execution with every performance. He's playing alongside Peaking Lights, Paul White and Patten at a sold out show at Plastic People on the 6th December, if you were lucky enough to get tickets let us know how it goes! Angela S.
