[ event ] that’s what we do (we make the best of things) || dawn & ???
As Sunyshore breaks the horizon before her, Dawn thinks that perhaps she really hasn’t been home in a long while.
“You should at least come for Christmas, dear.”
Her mother’s voice rings clear in her head; a subtle reminder that Dawn should take more care to pay attention to the people around her sometimes. She is so infinitely caught up in her present that she occasionally forgets to offer her presence to the people who still support her from so far away. This is always the cause of forgetfulness of the old and fascination of the new, to the point that time passes so quickly between visits and phone calls that Dawn might’ve gone the whole year without stepping foot back here.
She walks with steady steps as the ship docks in the chill that has overcome the city; the sun still shining through the dull grey of the sky, as if it were fighting for dominance with the season it found itself in. Winters in Sinnoh are as biting and frosty as they come and even Sunyshore can’t quite escape the brunt of light flurries that blanket its sidewalks with indicative purpose. Even so, the city and its inhabitants still stay true to their roots, as the festive lights of the season seem to decorate just about every structure the eye can see; colorful and bright. Dawn can’t seem to help the small smile that tugs at her lips, marveling the familiarity of Sunyshore’s people and its layout.
The day is December twenty-second and Dawn is finally making her way back home.
blind date || seymour & jillian
Valentine's Day was a date to be forgotten; this year Seymour had no plans of even acknowledging its existence. Dedicating himself to training in the confines of the base to avoid the hype altogether, he eventually even tires of this. Fetching his jacket only to find a note tucked innocuously in its folds, he nearly throws the message away in his haste.
Tearing open the bright pink envelope and skimming its contents, Seymour kinda wished he did.
Frozen With A Blast From The Past [EVENT] Archie + Sapphire
Fucking blizzards. Fucking snow. Fucking land. Arceus' tits and people wandered why Archie preferred the sea.
But even he knew being at sea during a blizzard was unnecessarily suicidal. Docking at Snowpoint City had been his only option and of course the town itself was too snow-clogged too reach. He was lucky he'd found an abandoned cabin to take refuge in, close enough to his ship that he could get to it if there was a problem.
He just hoped he didn't have too, because it was cold as fuck in this crappy cabin. He'd had his own little cache of supplies and thankfully the old wood-burning stove was the kind he knew how to work.
With Mightyena standing aside for extra warmth and security and Walrein ready - the ice type was all too happy with this weather - he wasn't all that worried.
From outside, the light within the small cabin would have been a beacon of hope to anyone in need of shelter.
Holiday with Harmonia || Open Event
Twas the night before Christmas Surrounding the cold castle all throughout Not even a peep From human nor mouse
Full of excitement Full of Cheer N gathered his friends For an announcement to hear.
"Merry Christmas, friends!" N began to shout But the spirit was ruined When someone began to pout.
Their sour mood soiling all "Bah Humbug," the voice howled. Devastated by bitterness, Who could save the villain feeling so fouled.
Fearing infection N dashed to save the day. "What's so terrible about Christmas? So terrible about a day full of play?"

Don't be Late! ll Barry and Autumn (Event)
Where was a master ball when she needed it?! The last thing Autumn had expected when she woke up that morning was Mew appearing before her. What she expected even less was the invitation that the legendary had excitedly presented her with. The pinkeye was too shocked by the sight of the legendary to even notice anything else, and it wasn't until the small Pokemon was shoving the invitation in her face when she was able to read it. It was an invitation to some sort of festival, telling where it was, what time she should be there, and even that she'd have a partner. "An outgoing boy will be waiting for you by the Goldeen Catch booth..." She read aloud, looking at the legendary with a confused look. New just have her a smile and floated over her shoulder. Autumn sighed. Well, maybe it wouldn't be as bad as her last blind date... She stood from the table and went into her room, the legendary Pokemon following happily. Autumn glanced to it as she looked through her closer to locate her Kimono. The only one she had, which she kept just for festivals. She showed the blue garment to Mew, the thread that made up the flowers and Butterfree embroider meant shining "Like it?" The Mew nodded happily, floating over to pat Autumn on the head before teleporting off, presumably to go do the same to her partner. She had no idea WHY the legendary had appeared to her or what the festival was about, but it sounded fun. That night she stood by the Goldeen Catch booth in her festival Kimono, with her hair pulled back into a bun with decorative chopsticks, waiting for whoever her chosen partner would be...
