I hope you don't mind me blabbing about your post from three days ago now, but the level of pure love Tyler has for us all in the Clique, really does make me want to cry on a daily basis!
He loves to drive past the lines of people waiting outside the venue to see the show, just to marvel at the fact that anyone cares enough to show up...
He kneels in front of us onstage, to gather strength for moments when he doesn't feel like he has any...
He takes a loop around the whole stadium during "Ride", so he can see as many of our faces as he can...
If someone tries to make fun of us in front of him, he shuts that down immediately, because we're his friends...
The first time he got an opportunity to write a song for a big-budget movie, he chose to make that song about us, because he wanted the song to have meaning for him...
He says in "Pet Cheetah" that we mean so much to him, he's scared to death of losing us...
Even during Lockdown, when no tours were happening, he still gave us a technicolor album to lift our spirits, and a Livestream concert to go with it, that included tributes to us...
I don't know how we lucked out so much, but I'm so very glad we did! 🥹❤️
No literally, everything he does is for us. Ever since the beginning.
From the Power to the Local Dreamer speech, to the meaning behind Guns for Hands.
Looking into the crowd so deeply as to stop shows and make sure everyone is okay and safe before continuing.
Giving us personal tools through music to have the strength to keep going. Because he cares for us that deeply. He knows he can’t reach everyone but he damn sure tries.
And like you said giving us a whole different album during lockdown, just to give us hope. A moment of normalcy during one of the most just. Traumatic events that as a society, one of the most impactful and first that truly touched us all as a planet as a younger generation.
Sometimes I just. Wonder if he truly understands the scope at which he lives, the impact he has truly created. I’m so in awe at it. Because even for how large of a fanbase we are and how large of a band they truly are. How much of it is so unknown to people. Like what an incredible thing he has created. That inspires us all to be better, do better, and pass on the generosity.
And to see how he just feels like “some guy” at times, like when him and Josh were just talking during MTWEI. Like babe, you’ve literally kept a generation inspired to keep living and now creating and passing on what you’ve taught us.
And it’s all unconditional. He never asks for the most plays, to win awards, to do anything for the fame. At the end of the day. It was created for us. And us alone. From a distraught, lonely boy from Ohio. Who pushed on through everything.
I could bleed my heart out over my admiration for him. Truly. And I feel like my emotional rant over it. Just kinda hits it home, seeing how everyone agrees.
The Clique, we have our issues. But our love for our boys, our Ty and Josh. Their love for us. Unmatched.
