My 7 year old niece just drew the girl on the right. I’m so excited for her!! Growing up, I thought I knew everything about drawing. I painstakingly drew photorealistic copies of horses 🐴 But once I took art classes in college, I realized just how much I’d missed. So much lost time - I could have learned dozens of simple drawing tips as a kid if I’d only been open to it. Ever since then, I have had a growing desire to teach kids how to draw. I don’t want them to pass up the chance to learn like I did. Tuesday night I taught a class for the first time. Today I walked my 7 year old niece 95% of the way through drawing this chibi. She drew the circles with light pressure 🤩 I’m so proud of her!! She wants to learn 😭 Just for that, she’s already ahead.
