John's Poem
A perfect world one would dare to say.
A heart bigger than the world itself.
Good company and good places.
Trees smiling, and birds laughing.
“Take me to this place”, she whispered.
I no longer want to live this life of greed and tragedy.
“I cannot”, the man replied.
A reality of dreams is expensive you see.
Disappointed, that night the girl burned all her belongings until her house was bare.
Among the empty echoes appeared a whisper:
I am weakness, I am greatness.
I am everything that I need to be.
I have more now than ever before.
It’s your misconception that we need a fortune to be great or to fulfil our dreams.
“My dreams have come true”, she said to the man.
The trees are smiling, and the birds are laughing.
