The Myth Regarding Wealth and Hard Work
The problem in our society is that we attribute wealth to hard work. Which would then mean that those without wealth are lazy. This is simply not true. Many people with wealth inherited it meaning the only “work” they did was being born. In addition many wealthy people use tax loopholes and “government handouts” much more than even the most talked about “welfare queens.” We must stop treating poor people like they are criminals as if being poor is a crime. In order to accept the notion that people on food stamps are lazy and just want free money, you then also have to accept the notion that people willingly give up their shot at the american dream and put their families in dangerous situations all for $4.50/day in food assistance. A few maybe but certainly not the majority. Most people don’t want to accept your handouts anymore than you want to give it to them.
