“The MA5B, it’s popped up a few times whenever I’ve hopped  dimensions by accident, it’s an intuitive design, one of the first weapons around I know off that’s actually able to measure how much ammo it has.  The sort of ammunition it takes and the sheer precision it has, for an assault rifle, places it above most modern weapons in that category.  Given in most realities I’ve encountered it in, it is indeed in a version of what, from my time perspective, is “The future”, I suppose it makes sense.  It’s the natural evolution of the modern assault rifle and with its armor piercing rounds, even the most durable of aliens and even yokai should be wary.”
