LOL. Iroh would definitely figure out who’s the mysterious writer behind these novels that are all the hype. He would go as far as even troll Zuko to send in little novellas that are “missing scenes” for the famous novels. Zuko would suspect the old man, but would never find a way of asking him directly.

Are you suggesting Iroh writes fanfiction for Zuko’s stories, because he wants to support his nephew’s writing career but also because he’s a huge troll?

Set between 2x04 and 2x05. The team goes on a mission to investigate an anomaly near the Canadian border and meets a peculiar stranger with an incredible story to tell.

the only one that technically fits with the criteria i mentioned earlier is the diner scene... and maybe the one from s2, but i don’t really like how fitzsimmons are totally far apart and there's a bunch of random people and the team kinda seems all sulky and coulson is facing away.

but the diner scene for sure is a proper Team Moment. so many of these are so close, but something is always missing from most of these shots (usually FItz) and and... next season Coulson will be missing, maybe May... so that's such a bummer honestly. Because I live for aesthetic shots of all my faves striking a pose. ;P

Oh, I was wondering if I was the only one seeing it. I actually read it and Jemma does mourn Fitz in it technically. Though it's a bit hard to swallow that she'd fall into Ward's arms so someone can help with Fitz's baby.

Yeah but like if it’s not an active ship in the fic, why tag it? There’s no actual ship content. It’s misleading at best.

@i-have-zero-chill​ @florchis yes - I read it the same way. S1 Jemma seemed to have two categories - 1. the symmetrical ones for sex and 2. Fitz for everything else. That;s why it was so interesting when Trip got thrown into the mixture. I think FitzSimmons always considered the other as a separate level - clearly beyond romantic interest (because romantic didn't even start to address the depth of their connection).

I always interpreted that scene as Jemma (who we've been told has trouble with romantic feelings- and who I personally headcanon as demiromantic) being genuine about it: she never thought of him that way because she never realized what she has with Fitz as ~romantic feelings~. But they are, and that's the contradiction Bobbi is reading on her, and is also this scene, I think, the one that made her go "mh, maybe they /are/ romantic". But, yeah, in short, same thing.
