Slit shifted in his boots as Furiosa inspected the offering. He hoped his efforts wouldn’t be in vain. The oil had taken a complicated system of barters to obtain, swapping parts and pieces and a few shiny things. The lizard jerky he’d made himself, using the tail meat, the best meat.
He cleared his throat, rubbing a hand along the back of his neck. Already he could tell this had been a stupid idea, he was just a half-life half-wit, shouldn’t have done this. Slit lowered his eyes and turned suddenly to walk away.
