Nulie Gar'Vara: Urgh! I got a peanut skin stuck in my teeth!
Magpie: You want some floss?
Nulie: You carry floss with you?
Magpie: Actually, it's garrote wire, but it's good for getting those hard to reach places. You might want to run it under some hot water, though. It's got some... chunks.
Nulie: Thanks, but I think I'll take my chances with gum disease.

@we-are-knight is back up! I will say I need to do something about the surge tank issue on my end (likely a 2nd hidden blog) and I may start a collective archive just in case anymore adventurers blogs get terminated unexpectedly in the future. Things on my end are still borked so no change there.
Nulie: I've found that not killing people is very easy. I go long periods of time without killing anybody.
Gisela: Hey, listen, we all have droughts, don't feel bad.
Cain: Nulie! I think I've got rabies! I've been foaming!
Nulie: At the mouth?
Cain: Never mind!

Illyria did her duty during the initial assault. She stayed by her Lord Knight's side, throwing her shield before him and protecting him from the worst of the slavers' assault. The battle was quick. The brigands couldn't do much against the heavily armored and well trained knights. The aftermath was much longer. They buried the bodies of the innocents and others that had fallen. The slavers were burned. The wood crackled and sparks flew up to the dark sky. Illyria watched, duties done. But after awhile she walked away. She ducked into the nearest tent, hoping to find respite. But the tent she walked into was filled with huddled figures. One looked up when Illyria entered. They locked eyes. Illyria walked towards the former slave, trying not to let her nervousness show. She didn't know what to do. This hadn't been covered in deportment classes.
