There is no doubt in all of our minds as to what a busy season we are entering once Thanksgiving is over. Journey to the North Pole™, the beloved holiday fundraiser, consumes our office, our mentality, and all of our time. However, we love every minute of it and before the craziness ensues, we have to take a moment to give our thanks for what has truly been an incredible year for Believe in Books Literacy Foundation. The year started off with an amazing amount of donations for our Bookbag Program and a number of dedicated volunteers who assisted with our Outreach Reading Program. In March, we were ecstatic about the return of Character Breakfasts and all of the bright-eyed children who joined us for pancakes and stories coming to life. Thank you to all of the volunteers who flipped pancakes and helped us make these mornings so magical. Going into April, we were grateful for another great year of maple sugaring and everyone who joined us to celebrate Earth Day with Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax! In May, we were so thrilled to be a part of the Littleton Food Co-op’s Partner of the Month where we were graciously donated over $5,000 to help support our traveling bookmobile! In June, we hit the stage at the Theater in the Wood with our Youth Theatre production of Disney’s Frozen Jr. July and August brought us so much joy as the Youth Theatre Summer Camp took over the Theater in the Wood along with our first Sunset Concert Series. We are so thankful for all of the volunteers and patrons who joined us for these memorable concerts! Thank you to those who joined us for a rainy Fun Run at Story Land, and a perfect autumn day for the 100-Acre Challenge in September. In October, the land of Agrabah and the story of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. took over the Theater in the Wood with adorable performances from young actors and actresses! We are so thankful for the all of the kids who performed and for all of the families who helped us continue these wonderful productions! We are now in November, and are so thankful for all of the volunteers who have helped us so much in preparation for the major fundraising event, Journey to the North Pole™. We are also extremely grateful for everyone who has signed up to help during the event! It means a lot to have so much community support for this beloved fundraiser. To all of our members, volunteers, followers, and supporters, thank you! Thank you for everything you have done to help us to continue to promote literacy throughout the Mt. Washington Valley and the North Country of New Hampshire! We hope you and yours truly have an incredible Thanksgiving and holiday season!
Thank you for everything!
