Alana’s Potage coat - UPGRADE

Alana’s coat, which she wears throughout Potage, is the $$$ Giora plaid trench coat by Theory (via @weartherude). 

The coat is in a classic belted trench style, in a plaid of jewel-tone blue with grey, with a strong horizontal line emphasis. There is no green in the coat, but it has a nuance of green in the grey areas.

The coat is absolutely impossible to find, and a decent facsimile is very difficult to find. They are either not trench coats, or not the right style of plaid, or don’t have the right line direction, or not the right colour combination.

Finally I found $$ this coat from Berghaus City, circa 1990, via eBay. It is much longer than Alana’s knee-length coat, but shortening it would overbalance it because it has humongous early 90s dropped sleeves. Whereas Alana’s coat is 100% wool, mine is synthetic and probably much lighter weight. Overall, though, I think it’s as close a match as I’m ever likely to find.

There is $$ another coat of the same make and model available on eBay right now. This PSA is not a recommendation, caveat emptor, etc.

Imagine if Jack had said that line to Alana in Savoureux.

Alana’s coat: speaking of, looks like the same coat from Savoureux. Blue wool topcoat, unknown brand.

$$ My coat: vintage blue wool topcoat, handmade via eBay.

$$$ Alana’s dress: there’s that floral motif again. BCBG Max Azria Adele Printed Wrap Dress (Style #WAX6W099-3X1) (via @weartherude). Blue with purple; contrast trim is green on black.

$$ My dress: matte jersey floral-print half-wrap dress, Per Una via eBay. Blue with purple. No contrast trim, but there is aqua green involved in the pattern as you can see from the fifth photo.

Everything else, as before. Notably, Alana never carries a bag in this episode.

p.s. I finally got it together enough to slap makeup on, wooooo! All the usual stuff. Alana’s makeup is about to change though.

Help?

Im trying to find what shirt Will wore in The Wrath of the Lamb RD fight and so far thanks to the auction I know it’s a Naked & Famous brand shirt but im not seeing anything similar in their website (i hope im on the right one) and most of their shirts have breast pockets which Will’s shirt seems to lack (or i can’t see it). Any help is appreciated !!
