The wheat field was entirely planted by one woman: Agnes Denes.
She singlehandedly created one of the most significant artworks in New York City history, “Wheatfield — A Confrontation,” a two-acre wheat field that was planted in May 1982 on the landfill that would eventually become Battery Park City.
The wheatfield was harvested that August and then disappeared forever from the site.

Naturally I have needed some retail therapy this week...it was a necessity! Anyway I took myself over to Westfield and found my self some eye candy.
