Today is the chinese new year's! I wanted to draw something for it, so here's a couple of rabbits to celebrate year of the rabbit!

(Actually, I wanted to draw all my bunny OCs for it, but turned out I had too many bunnies and too little time. I'm quite happy with this though!)

Hey so in ur opinion what’s the coolest storm phenomena?

TORNADOS. but uhmm for like rarer not as well known ones!!!!!!

I think sprites are super super neat!!

Theyre pretty hard to capture on film and they occur in the mesosphere (~50 miles up in the air) so they look way smaller then they actually are!!!

theyre usually caused by positively charged lightning hitting the ground:) (which isnt super common!!!!! Most lightning you see is negatively charged and positive lightning is only about 5% of lightning you see and is much more dangerous!!!!!! Idk much about the difference between positive and negative lightning other then that it transfers a positive charge to the ground instead of a negative one.

also love any tornado related phenomena like multi vortex tornadoes and twin tornadoes:] heres just some pictures of those

twin tornadoes :] pilger nebraska in 2014, midway indiana in 1965, and somewhere in the scottish highlands.

As for multivortex tornadoes i spend a lot of time thinking about this image specifically

taken in Jarrell Texas in 1997 during the early stages of one of the most violent tornadoes in US history, this is the most well known image of its type! This is called "dead man walking" and it happens when a multivortex tornado makes the shape of legs! Also it only gets called one if it results in fatalities. So what this all comes from is the idea of an old legend that if you see a dead man walking in the storm, people are going to die. and i think its super cool!! Thats just the most well known but heres some others! (note theres a shaky gif next if that bothers any of you. Its super quick BUT ITS SHAKY AND IT ANNOYS ME BUT ITS IMPORTANT)

el reno oklahoma EF3 in 2013, this is the deadliest storm for storm chasers and resulted in the first tornado caused deaths in storm chasing history.

Joplin Missouri EF5 in 2011, currently the costliest US tornado

I RAN OUT OF ROOM FOR IMAGES BUT those 3 are the best of its kind. Also the website i got these images from says apparently a lot of weird stuff happened during the aforementioned Joplin EF5? i should look into that. ANYWAYS YES TYSM FOR ASKING:)

I got a copy of significant tornadoes (1680-1991) (by thomas p. grazulis) from my library and ohhh my god its my everything. ALSO ITS HUGE. IT TOOK UP HALF THE SHELF. I did NOT expect it to be that big.
