I find it funny that when I saw "Paul Wesley" in the opening credits for Four and One Half Vulcans. I was like "Bruh whys kirk on the Enterprise again, its not even his show yet" but damn man just arriving to come annoy his brother while his own ships in for repairs nearby is a mood

#Also love the fact he then just pivoted to 'well im here so time for drinks with Laan and scotty'#he defs got concussed by Vulcan Laan tho #find myself bouncing between wanting more wesley kirk and also feeling we have more than enough kirk #like i want some more post voyager stuff like lower decks #but also damn kirk and spock keep intriguing me #guess its more TOS for me then #weaver rambles #Strange New Worlds #star trek

I know the show (and as far as I can remember the books) portray mb's integrated energy weapons as just being sort of slots on its forearm that fire energy bolts. But I really like the idea of taking that into a more machine like angle, with their fingers pulling back and their forearm splitting into segments that pull back/ reconfigure to allow the energy blasts to come out of its 'palm'

#the company already dehumanises the heck out of them #why not lean into the angle of making sec units feel less human in how their systems look and feel #it would be unnerving for someone to watch mb's hand fold back to allow its built in weapon to fire #feel the show made mb way too human like #i get its because actors and i imagine some budget arguments #but itd be so neat #weaver rambles #murderbot #murderbot spoilers #murderbot tv

Picked up Cairn today and damn I'm really loving it so far!

thinking about avatar again and I think I was a bit disappointed by how little time the wind traders got in the movie. I guess after the first 2 movies I expected the film to follow another group again rather than sea clans again 😅

#I'm just really intrigued by the sailing airships of the wind traders #and wanted to see more of them #although I didn't expect them to be standard Navi (thought they'd be environment adapted like the sea clans)#also get that the focus was meant to be on the fire clan #weaver rambles #avatar fire and ash

Feldspars helmet really reminds me of fighter pilot and test pilot gear, it looks almost like their breathing apparatus is a separate thing from the rest of their helmet

Thats a really neat way to visually differentiate them as the first pilot of Outer Wilds Ventures
