rating horse world online
it's a horse browser game, and it's good and i like it! i'm no expert but i think the breeding must be pretty good in this game because there's all these community breeding projects of people working together towards a common goal.
something that stands out to me is that it says right on your horse's profile what they're genetically maybe going to be good at, which is really helpful for deciding what to train them in.
and then when you enter a contest, not only do you immediately get your results and your prize money, but it tells you how you can improve!
horse training is pretty standard i think, there's lots of options & it's just clicking. no waiting, though! and you can only do it once per 'turn', so if you're training focused, you can pay money to get more turns per in game month. but time does not pass unless you take a turn, which is nice! and you get up to 6 turns saved up in the bank & they respawn every 20 minutes, so it's pretty freeing.
the other thing that stood out to me about this game is that you can train Yourself! you pay a fee for the class and then wait increasingly long amounts of time to learn it, but you don't have to stay on that page or anything. cool approach!
now if you're like me, youre asking "is there any whimsy?" and the answer is Yes! the third beautiful thing that i think is different about horse world online is that you get to decorate your farm! check this out it's like cut and paste
as far as i can tell, the buildings and pastures are functional, and everything else is decorative. you literally get to drag and drop the little goats :) you have to purchase them (with fake money) first though so currently my farm only has 1 goose
you can also put fun costumes on your horse & zoom in the picture that displays as Your Horse when you enter in competitions and things!
i only realized this could be used for comedy when i checked out what horses were currently competing and saw several people had set it so you can only see their horse's ass

there's also forums and things and people chatting and selling horses and buying horses and breeding and competing and whatnot. it's a chill game :)
