Sign-ups for pitchers are technically closed — the same way stabbing isn't technically a romantic gesture.
But we, the Dean/Cas Stab Fest (Fun Sized) Team, don't care about technicalities.
Instead, we are very big fans of encouraging last minute panic (and making our lives chaotic) , so as long as you can submit a draft that's 50% by October 30, you can still sign up.
Sign-Up Form Still Open!
And.
In order to celebrate the occasion, we have also decided to make our first official Dean/Cas Stab Fest web browser game!
You are a Castiel simply trying to go about his day...
Yup. That's right, Stab Fest has an official game, so when writer's block or artist's block hits, you can get in the right mindset for this fest.
Check out the FAQ or the questions tag for more information.
DON’T FORGET TO SIGN UP!

Sign-ups for PITCHERS will be open until OCTOBER 30TH.
Sign-ups for CATCHERS will be open until NOVEMBER 5TH (which is also when claims happens!)
You play as Zak Soto, a normal 25-year-old guy trying to live his life. Ok, scratch that, he isn’t normal at all. He has extremely strong psychic abilities, and is able to see things that most normal people do not. On top of that, he’s currently being hunted down by demons, and the one who is supposed to be protecting him...? Is a demon who is holding a grudge against him!
Will he be able to survive these encounters with demons while he tries to find the solution to his problems? Will his demon be able to get over himself for two seconds to help him? Are these feelings towards his demon just frustration or is there something more...?
You help decide in... DEMO PARANORMAL!
Demo link and whatnot under the cut. <3
Hello all. I wanted to try making an IF, but every time I try to do one where there are all these different customization options and whatnot, I get really flustered and confused. But I really love the IF community, and I love making stories, so I don’t want to give up!
So, I’ve decided for practice, I will make an IF of a story I’ve had in my head for a few years, and just take out the personal customization options [For now]. I know these aren’t as popular, but I’m still hoping some of you like it and are able to help give me the confidence to try to make a real CYOA IF!!!
With that said, this is Demo Paranormal. You help Zak along on his little adventure with a demon named Demo [Pronounced ‘Dee-mo”]. There are obviously going to be options, and different endings to this story, but it’s not as extensive as other IF where you make your character and whatnot. Lol
Anyway, I hope you enjoy! I’ll try my hardest on this and hopefully will be able to keep up with a consistent updating schedule. I’m not sure how long this will be, but I’m ready to get started!
Content warnings:
Christianity themes [like there are angels and demons, and the angels are named after the actual angels and whatnot]
Religious themes [but in a fun way <3]
Swear words
There will be blood and stuff in later chapters, so please be careful!
There may also be some NSFW content later, but for now the story is rated like... teens+ lol
After adding some more stuff to Catastrophy, I’ve been drifting back to work on Beelzebug. Between the two Beelzebug is a much bigger and better game with more potential. One of the biggest differences is, with Beelzebug I am not just making an html5 game but building my own game engine (the Meat Engine) underneath.
The Meat Engine started as just a level editor, but it’s growing into more. The latest addition is a configuration editor, where you can change game settings, character settings and game actions. All events that happen in the Meat Engine are a “gameAction”. When a character wants to do something (say puke), you can assign that character the “puke” action and then cherry-pick which attributes of “puke” this specific character wants to change when they puke.
Here’s some screen shots of the Unit Editor changing the player’s gameActions
Procedural road. It is kinda a mess but this is the first version that is starting to look like something. This road is placed by the coastal highway algo shown in some of the previous posts. With any luck it’ll also become a seed for small city grids and a residential-lot-planner algorithm.
This is a muscle-bound, hairy, spikey, roided-up plant man with one mission: To water his fellow plants. Every Guardener oversees their own little garden with special pods that, when they are watered enough, open up to reveal health pickups. They are supposed to be for other enemies, but if you’re sneaky enough you can grab them. Just don’t get caught. He’ll hardcore fuck your shit up. Ya herd?
