Your website just blew my mind. Absolutely beautiful! I was wondering if you used a dithering tool, specifically the ones you linked in the resources area, to add texture to some of your stuff, such as the 'mood of the week" area? How did you get it to look so..noisy?
Awww, thank you so much!! Really flattered you enjoyed all the crunchiness I managed to pack into it! ★ I'm a sucker for noise textures, and I always default to experimenting with them a LOT!
For the 'mood of the week', I actually used this feature within IbisPaint called Noise! You can mess with it to get a certain degree of control with the blending modes, and also how intense the effect is ^^ I like mine very crunchy, so I tend to balance the heftiness of the effect with blending modes like Overlay or Soft/Hard Light. FireAlpaca has it too if it's more your thing!
For my background textures, I used Krita and Dither Me This, which is an online ditherer! I went through it not only as an aesthetic choice, but also as a plan - It's very VERY important to keep your images at very small sizes, to reduce loading times! It doesn't work for transparent images though, so I recommend Gyng's Ditherer for that instead. Both are on my Resources page!
Also... if you're still wanting more pixels, you could set the image rendering on the body as pixelated through the CSS! Just type in image-rendering = pixelated (replace the equal with the colon, can't do it cause Tumblr lol), and there you go! Your images shouldn't appear blurry or weird if they're slightly tilted!
I honestly LOVE talking about web design as much as I enjoy making it happen, so you can bet I'm having a field day rn xD Thank you SO SO MUCH again!!
