Top 5 Mindsets You Need To Have In Order To Be Successful
Success is something that we all desire, yet it eludes so many of us - at least at the levels we desire. Why are some people successful and others are not? Well it comes down to one thing Mindest.
Your success has everything to do with your habits, beliefs, passion, flexibility and attitude.
There’s nothing really different from you and any other person in the world. There’s no difference between you and Bill Gates, between you and Warren Buffett, between you and Jay Z. What it all comes down to is having the frame of mind to set practical habits, to understand your beliefs and your limiting thoughts. It comes down to being passionate, being flexible and having an attitude that I will not stop UNTIL…………
Here they are:
1. Courage Over Fear.
To be successful, you have to have courage. Much of being successful is about going beyond what you think you're capable of -- venturing into the unknown. Whether you fail or succeed, you will certainly learn and grow. And growth, in and of itself, means taking yourself to a higher level of success whether it came from success or failure.
2. Belief in yourself.
Attitude is everything. A negative attitude decreases success and a positive attitude creates success. Without that belief in yourself, you'll lack a path to success. Success is something that's created. It's not something that merely just "happens.”
When you firmly believe in yourself, you can achieve virtually anything: It's within this belief that you'll find the power to create the resilience and fortitude needed to keep going when things get tough.
3. Having a purpose and a vision.
A lot of people talk about having Why - a Why so strong that it will make you cry. I believe that having a Why is important, but the fact of the matter is, as Ray Higdon says, it’s commercially digestible and external. When something is commercially digestible everyone they tell will give them kudos and accolades for having such an awesome why. THAT is actually part of the problem. I believe most people accept this external praise as their payoff and it’s good enough vs going out and attaining the real thing, the manifestation of their actual why. Instead of your Why being the driving force, know who you want to be. What is your purpose and your vision for yourself in the future?
The vision of who you want to become will consist of your different why’s but it is more intimate and internal. If your why is spending more time with your kids, instead of telling people you are working this business so that you can spend more time with your kids you will tell yourself that you want to become the type of person that will be able to spend more time with the kids. It may seem a small distinction but it has massive impact.
Paint the picture of the exact life you want and who you will be in that life, then, get to work to become that person. You will find yourself more consistent and more fired up to do the work you know you have needed to do all along.
4. Be Willing to Take Risks.
There are no guarantees on any path to success in life or business. The unknown is always looming. Therefore, risk and education are often the mechanisms necessary for knowing more clearly if you're on the right path.
If you're afraid to risk, you will put limits on your success and stay where you're comfortable. You cannot get what you want if you don't risk rejection and go for what you desire.
5. Gratitude.
When you see life and career in terms of the lack in what you have achieved, you cannot drive your business or life up the ladder of success. Then negativity is impeding your progress.
You must look at all you have and realize how great what you have is as compared to the situation of many others.
When you have this attitude, you stop suffering and complaining about the small stuff. On each receipt you pay out, write thank you. That's not only to thank the person, event, vendor or customer for what's provided you but also to give a private thanks acknowledging that you have the abundance necessary to pay for the service, product or event.
Habits coupled with flexibility provide you with a path to success. Success is fluid and so rigidity will stand in its way.
Developing these mindsets give you a compass to navigate the ever-changing tides on the way to business and financial goals. These mindsets allow openness and flexibility while also providing you precise direction.
