This weekend I went to a swan parade. It’s one of the most bizarre events that I’ve ever attended, but what’s not to love about wearing a swan hat and eating greasy French fries? The purpose behind this swan parade is to welcome in spring, CLEARLY IT DIDN’T WORK, as it is freezing cold and we got like 15 cm of snow last night. Oh Canada. You’re a strange and cold place. Also, I should mention; the swans are over-wintered in a barn where they are well looked after by their people, and are released into the river after their short but ceremonial March down the street.
