MP - Website (LO2)

I may add interactions but for now I'm focusing on designing a clean layout. It doesn't appear to be much but as a future UX designer, I need to explain many of my design decisions.

MP - Studio Day (LO3)

Rich and Emily spoke about the topic of portfolios. Thus, I ended up signing up for a tutorial to speak to Rich.

Below are some of the topics we discussed about.

How do I represent my work as a UX designer?

Answer: You may have to speak to other UX designers but the body should be limited as the images should tell the narrative. You can also rely on videos to explain certain points. Thus, use mock-ups. You can use parallax scrolling on Webflow (this was in response of me stating I wanted to create my website portfolio to have 3D but Dot told me to show depth instead which I've attempted to do).

2. I don't have many UX works, thus I want to only show 4 but we are to hand in 5 as the minimum. Thus, how do I represent my other works and not confuse the viewer?

Answer: You don't need to have all UX works and can tweak certain projects if you have time.

3. Typography and branding for FMP (Opobo project)

Answer: Look at cultural fonts used in Nigeria, you can use the geometric font or a similar font to it for the brand.

MP - Webpages development (LO2)

This is a quick example of my project pages. Obviously, this is still an experimental phase and thus, not perfect but I wanted to start working on it. I put a header image and there will be bottom images with little captions to explain how I developed the solution as a UX designer. However, I'm struggling with the appropriate images to place.

MP - Contact Page (Web Portfolio) LO2

Continually, as I make my web portfolio I try to create each page responsive. This was inspired by Swell's Contact page because I really love everything about their website.

I may change the wording because it's formal but I also aim to be friendly. This is because after much consideration, I realized that I want to my identity to be friendly as a UX designer.

Elements

The head type drops shadow and the line space increases when the mouse is hovered on which I believe is a cool element.

The text fields slightly move upward with a shadow appearing when hovered upon and change colors when focused (the focus interaction is when the user's cursor is on the text field).

Conclusion

Overall, I like it but need to improve on the responsiveness.

Designing the Layout of the Website

The overall design of the website, I wanted my portfolio to be the main focus of my website I decided to use full bleed images on each project page to show off the designs. On the main menu I was going to have square tiles for the website to make it easy to thumbnail the projects and not to be too complicated.
