AO3 tried to leave maintenance as scheduled, but something was wrong. Something felt... Bad. They were still shaking and shivering, feeling the chill of fever creep along their spine.
Maintenance took longer than expected. Much longer...

Dude. Tumblr was down this time. What did ao3 do? Cuz like Tumblr is used(?) to ao3 having "health scares" with them getting fixed up pretty often but ao3 has pretty much never experienced Tumblr being the one to go down.

AO3 then spends the rest of their day distracted and thinking about Tumblr. They're trying to hide how worried they are but... Surely it's just a small thing, right? They'll be okay ...right?

You know the saying! No one hates Tumblr more than Tumblr...
Continuation/Finale of This Little Arc! As much as we love to put AO3 on a pedestal, there's literally no such thing as perfection. Tumblr does have flaws both IRL and in story. I'm not here to shy away from them, but I won't let them define me.
Tumblr is more than just the staff and the site, it's the people on it, the community that stayed even after everyone else moved to Twitter. It's the funny memes we share, the old posts we dig up, the holidays we celebrate. It's a living breathing history. Good or bad, I'd argue it's worth keeping around.
