garfield park conservatory personal reflections
i think that the conservatory is a gorgeous escape from the hustle and bustle of the city all within a glass enclosure. the mirror sculpture brings the rooms together, intensifying the greenery that surrounds it. the longer i stayed in the building, the more calm i felt.

oak park personal reflections
walking around oak park i noticed all of the beautiful architecture and impeccable stain glass windows. all of the houses were noticeably of good size and value, so my first thought was that it was a richer area. there were also lots of old, simplistic japanese structures. all of the houses had small, detailed architectural pieces within them. there were also many new additions to old structures, where architects would try to mimic the designs of wright. though not noticeable to those just passing by, it was obvious once there was time given to stop and look.
