Momo’s wedding starts in half an hour when suddenly a villian appears!! Will Momo make it to the altar on time?
It had all started at Midoriya's wedding when Momo had been the one to catch the bouquet. She had been in the middle of a friendly conversation with you and Iida when the bundle fell into her arms. The three of you stared in amazement, none of you had been paying attention when Midoriya's spouse threw it! Momo’s cheeks reddened and looked back towards the small crowd of dumbstruck singles. Her face flushed even more at the amused look you gave her and she couldn't help but let out a soft smile. Momo slightly bowed her head in a soft apology to everyone who had been ready to fight for it.
That was over a year ago, Momo recalled fondly as she stared at the big pink box her own wedding dress had come in. She had talked it over with you, fondly recalling the moment she had presented you the bouquet once Iida had left. You had placed your hands on her bare arms, rubbing up and down soothingly and made some type of witty comment to make her smile. You told her that there was no such thing as coincidence. She didn't put too much stock into your words at the moment, but months later, you had asked for her hand. She sighed as her mind began to wander as she thought of the beautiful set up you two spent months on. You had insisted that it was her day, a day to celebrate their love together and showcase the passion you had for her. You had become a bit of a bridezilla, but she knew it was because you wanted everything to be extravagant. "We're going to look back on this day years down the road and I don't want you to have any regrets.”
Momo fixed her bangs as she checked herself over in the mirror. She took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled as she smoothed out her satin dress. She blinked as she could feel her eyes water and she asked her makeup artist to help her not ruin her makeup. "You look gorgeous, YaoMomo!" Mina smiled happily, placing her head on the woman's shoulder. "Right, Jiro?"
"Don't cry before you get there, Momo." Jiro joked, stepping aside to let the makeup artist dab Momo's eyes, careful not to smudge her work. “Come on, the wedding is going to start in an hour and we have to beat traffic.”
“I still have to adjust the highlights and add her lashes.” The artist said as she inspected Momo’s face for any spots they might have missed.
Mina giggled, “I’ll go on ahead and tell everyone you’ll be on your way!” She picked up her keys and knocked on the bathroom door. “Tsu! Are you ready? I’m heading out!”
“I’m ready.” She said as she fixed her dress. “You look stunning, Momo!” Tsu complimented her before following Mina. “I’ll see you there.”
You smiled to yourself as you parked the car and sat on the seat to gather your bearings. On the way to the church your hands had begun to tremble and you couldn’t control the giddy feeling inside. Today you were going to marry the love of your life.
Your best friend simply smiled at you from the passenger seat and allowed you the moment to gather yourself together. They opened the door and stepped out, tapping the roof to get your attention. “I’m going inside and let the priest know we’re here.”
“Thanks.” You turned to them with a nod. “I’ll be right there.” When they left, you checked yourself in the rearview mirror and fixed your hair. You grinned and began to picture what Momo would look like when she arrived. She had refused to let you see her in her dress before the wedding, even going as far as to sleep separately the night before. You didn’t question her and came to realize it was all to further hype up her arrival.
You checked your phone for the time, counting down the hour before the wedding would begin. There were still a few pieces that you needed to check on and guests to greet. When a familiar car entered the lot, you finally got off the car and bowed. “Mother, Father, thank you for coming.” You greeted Momo’s parents and escorted them into the building.
Momo checked her phone for the time, furrowing her brows as the car stopped completely. She could hear the driver open the car door and she shifted in her seat, trying to see what was going on through the front window as other cars around her began to honk their horns angrily. She turned to Jiro, who looked equally as confused and she put up a hand, "I'll go see what's going on. Stay put." Jiro said as she stepped out of the car.
A sudden screech sounded through the air and Momo screamed as the top part of the front of the car dented inward. She quickly stepped out to see a body of a man and raced to check his pulse. She pressed two fingers against his neck and could feel the faint rhythm. She sighed gratefully, taking a moment to try to find Jiro and her driver. She ducked as a creature swooped down to try to catch her, screeching even louder than before. "N- Nomu..." She whispered in disbelief, her voice drowned out by piercing screams.
The guests began to whisper amongst themselves as time dragged on and you were left standing there at the altar alone. The priest kept his smile on his face, though the patient and friendly vibe was now gone. It had been more than twenty minutes since the wedding was supposed to begin and there was no sign of your beautiful bride. Still, you kept up the same smile you had on your face the moment you entered the building earlier. She would get there, you were sure of it. Your eyes quickly glanced towards Momo’s parents as they exchanged glances and pointed to each other’s phones before Momo’s mother got up to receive a phone call.
You looked on with a worried expression on your face, pure terror at the thought that something might have happened to Momo. That fear realized when Momo’s mother dropped her phone and stared back directly towards you.
