Writing this with my eyes kinda half closed bc of headache from my long yet surprisingly short fun day with the Fiancé.

So today, we have to attend a seminar at the city hall as part of the requirements in obtaining our Marriage License. I was excited and somehow nervous for what awaits for us there 😬 the first part was a discussion about how important it is to register the entrance (birth) and exit (death) of a person as well as the change of civil status in which we (including the five pairs of couples there) are about to do 😄

Consequently, Sir Jun (a social worker and ofc marriage counselor) officiated the talk where we discussed the importance of marriage and why we want to marry each other. HAHAHA tbh, that question crossed my mind a little bit too many since Pat proposed but I guess I never got to answer it inside my head until earlier today (well, actually Pat was the one to answer it awhile ago and I was glad that we’re just basically thinking of the same thing) – so his/our answer was: “Gusto ko siyang pakasalan kasi no matter how ugly, bad and unwanted the situation is, siya pa rin ang gusto kong makasama harapin yun.” Plus just wanna emphasize this part - there is no perfect. No one is. Kahit sino makilala mo, they will have their own fair share of strengths and weaknesses. It’ll be up to you if you are ready to accept those weaknesses and be their strength.

Oh, boy. I was nearly teary-eyed. My baby is indeed ready to wife me up 🥹😂

Afterwards, we read each other’s good & bad qualities, read our “love letters” as if we’re celebrating our first monthsaries out loud to each other <🥰😜> and hugged for about 2 minutes. It was really touching. Wedding Preps (for me) make you know your spouse-to-be more and in a very very intimate way. As in, ibang level. Haha. And I kid you not, almost everyone we encounter asks “SURE NA TALAGA KAYO? READY NA TALAGA? Kasi ang pag-aasawa, lifetime commitment yan. Once you’re in, there is literally no going-out.”

Ayun lang hehehe ended the day tiiiired but happy and fulfilled :> *marriage license can be claimed on september 26. soooo YAY 😀*
