When a midnight scavenger hunt for a rare bud of weed known as the Golden Nug brings a group of party-hungry stoners to a haunted hotel, it seems like it'll be the greatest night ever. But when the enigmatic owner, Madam Haze, introduces them to the Weed-G-Board, they open a portal beyond our world, and unleash The Weedjies. This group of ghastly hysterical creatures has only one mission: Party 'till you die. Before Halloween night is over, the unwitting guests will have to fight for their right to party, and put The Weedjies back in the board - or end up sucked into the netherworld forever.
Gravestoned from the upcoming Halloweed Night movie. His color scheme hasnt been shown but the concept art says “dark green body” and he has a pumpkin like head, so I went with that.
Weedjies! Halloweed Night (2019)Tubi finally added Weedjies which was the first of Full Moons Deadly Ten series of films. They should have added them in October like they did to the other movies cause this one even takes place on Halloween. The point of the Deadly Ten films was to run 10 film projects by different people back to back and let you watch behind the scenes on the web site as it was happening and to have all 10 ten in a year.. well thanks Covid cause that didn't happen. Sadly we have only gotten 3 so far. Also Sadly Weedjies a movie that basically takes place at a house party and is just Evil Bong jokes again has the much bigger budget then the other two. Weedjies looks like a bigger picture than many of Full Moons recent endeavors. Pretty people pretty effects (all things considered) but is still pretty dumb. I mean if you go in for dumb you get what you wanted so it is kind of fun. Also fun looking at the odd C level genre celeb cameos in the big party scenes. The cover makes me laugh since the two people at the top look nothing like that, I swore that was two guys, but its not. My issue with a movie about drug use and monsters at a party is its too tame. Its rude enough that you shouldn't show it to kids but its paced like a movie that should. Just bad writing I know buuut again I think its the LA small scene . All the actors want jobs on Nick or Disney kids sitcoms and have been literally built and programed to be those kinds of actors. These actors look good and they can act sort of but they just seem to not know what kind of movie they are in. The kills should be blood and the people should be more sleazy letting the innocent characters seem innocent on comparison. Instead its just a bunch of mall food court hanging people making dad jokes about pot and a some gremlins direction references as they get sort of killed by goblins that have a name that sounds like its references all the previous drug jokes but oddly is just a coincidence. Shrug... its allllmost good.. aalllmost .
Then there is this Rasta ghost that advises on how to defeat the Weedjies. He would have been even better if played by Jason McCall of the Christ Seaver movie universe.. just sayin. If you want something deep take a puff puff pass but if youre in for just dumb fun toke on this.
