thoughts I have whilst going to bed part 1

so my mum was watching a brief encounter earlier (ALL THE FEELINGS AGAIN OH MY GOD) and she was like "AWWWW mike genuinely did love Miranda but Miranda loved Gary" i totally agree with her and it was such a sad love triangle BUT i feel like Miranda did have feelings for mike deep down somewhere? Like we all know that in 'I do but to who?' She tells him that she loves him, but I feel it was a little bit deeper than that. i feel like she had a special relationship in her heart for him because of he fact that he was her first proper PROPER boyfriend and that he truly understood her regardless of what she did? I mean Gary loved her anyway bc they were best friends which is what it should be but mike actually fell in love with her because she stopped pretending to be someone she wasn't and actually just let herself be her that's why I don't get the anons who keep sending miracle hate?? it's not fair on mike like he was a really sweet guy who loved Miranda probably as much as Gary??? even if it didn't have that friendship to begin with?? i mean I just don't really understand what he did so wrong other than love someone who WAS available and wanted to be in a relationship too and wanted to be with him, albeit for a little while?? lol ill stop now
