Yesterday I watched Wizards (1977). Insanely lurid film that happens two million years after a nuclear apocalypse. Incredibly obvious about its statement that propaganda is bad because, not only does propaganda that preaches total ignorance of evil leave you vulnerable to evil, but also fascist propaganda can galvanize even the most listless drifters into the Third Fucking Reich (with literally zero exaggeration here - the main villain straight up pseudo-necromances Adolf Hitler in order to rule the world). It seems like it's about "technology bad" but that's not it at all. It's about how fascism can spring up everywhere. It's about how pacifism is only good when the other person isn't literally trying to kill you. It's about how peace must be fought for. It's about how technology isn't bad, it's all about the way you use it. But most of all, it's about how Weehawk and Peace definitely fucked in that cave.

And yes, this is the film where the little gnome guy shoots the lich guy with a pistol.

just watched ralph bakshi's "wizards" (1977) for the first time and like. weehawk is the ONLY character in this movie i respect and also i ship him with peace.
