I feel like it’s been forever since I had a good work out, and my trainer really made sure I paid for it this morning. But hey, after drinking so much and eating so much cake (which I still have in my fridge), I really needed this. Speaking of, thanks to everyone who came to that party, it still blows my mind that all of that happened and seeing everyone there was literally the best present I could’ve asked for. Now, I’m 25 years old, which is.....weird, I feel old even though this is only like, one third of my life span.

It had been a while, to be quite honest, since she saw some of her friends that were outside of NDHQ. Not that she minded, everyone she had met at this company seemingly clicked with her and it was convenient that they al lived in the same building. It was just FRIENDS feeling, and she was living up to her full Rachel Green and Monica Geller love child potential.
But even then, she felt like she was neglecting people she’d made connections with outside of work.
Which led her here, with an old friend. Who she used to hook up with, but hey, the past was the past for a reason and he was seemingly busy himself with everything going on in his life. She got that, they were both busy, but he was finally back and town and hit her up and honestly, why not?
She’d met Cam a while back, in this exact spot to be specific, when she was freshly twenty. Her and her coworkers had the day off, surprisingly enough Hooters was closed for the day due to a pipe busting....no pun intended. So they laid back on the beach, catching the warm rays of the sun when a very tall frame blocked her prime tanning moment. It was Cam, a native California boy with seemingly perfect hair and a charming smile. He was nice, and funny, and weird in the ways she was as well. Claiming to only have accidentally stumbled into her light, she found him charismatic and instantly connected to him.
Sure, she was attracted to him, most people were. He was good looking in that artsy way, not exactly as fit as most of the guys she had proven to be drawn to, but what he lacked in muscle mass he made up for in many other ways. But she wasn’t looking for anything serious, and of course that was perfect for him, and they had the intent to just stay friends for the sake of everything. Until they drank a bit too much, and that sexual tension busted through the roof, leading to a pretty hot hook up in the back of his car. It was a spur of the moment decision, and it became something that happened occasionally. She was just having fun, she enjoyed his company, but nothing was going to progress from it and she knew that.
Especially when he told her he snagged a spot on MTV’s Are You The One. She was over the moon for him, rooting from home every time an episode came on....even if she was a bit amused that his perfect match had a lot of the qualities she herself had. That show, plus another, plus the most recent appearance on Ex On The Beach didn’t mesh well with all the stuff Dani found herself getting into. it had been a while, but the moment she saw his lanky 6′4 frame leaning against his car when she got dropped off, she couldn’t help the grin on her face.
“Hey there, reality tv king.....c’mere.” She said with nothing but a warm tone in her voice, wrapping her arms around his waist as her cheek pressed to his shirtless chest....typical Cameron.
“Oh please, if anyone’s a super star, it’s you. Your song fucking slaps, Dan!” He told her, nothing but a genuine smile on his face as the nick name he gave her fell off his lips.
“You heard it?! Oh my god, I was a fucking nervous ass wreck, but I’m glad you like it. I worked really fucking hard on that song, poured my heart and soul into it and shit. But enough about me....tell me all about your show and shit. You’ve been killing it, although, that slug from that Cory dude was fucked up. You okay? He didn’t hurt that money maker, did he?” She teased as she got on her tip toes, fingers grazing his skin, glad it was unmarked.
The conversation with him was always easy, and as they walked along the sand, she hummed as she listened to him, both updating one another on their lives as it stood now.
“So, you seeing anyone? Wouldn’t be surprised if you are.....you were always the one that got away.” He joked, hand coming to his heart as he let out a sigh, always over dramatic in his jokes before she nudged him.
“I don’t think dating is in my cards right now with my job.” She told him honestly, seeing his brows furrow in confusion, and that’s when it dawned on her how long it’d been since they actually had a talk that lasted more than a few texts or snap chats. “Oh shit, I haven’t told you, have I??”
“No you haven’t, and now I’m beyond curious, so spill the beans now, miss thing.” He stopped in his tracks, amused smile on his lips as he eyed her, “Last I heard you were just bartending and shit.”
“Yeah.....well, surprise but, I might be a steadily growing porn star.” She said with a little smile, nibbling on her bottom lip shortly afterwards as his face went through a stage of emotions, all amusing to the shorter female.
“You pulling my god damn leg, shut up, no you aren’t.”
“I am! I promise! Wanna look for yourself or??” She said with a laugh, wiggling her phone in front of him before he busted out laughing, hands rubbing down over his face in almost disbelief.
“So I fucked a porn star? At least, pre porn star status....wow, I’m the fucking man. I mean, I knew you were fucking good but god damn, this is unreal!” He was almost giddy as he spoke, laughter continuing to pour from his lips as she rolled her eyes, pushing him slightly as she looked up at him.
“I’m fucking great, for the record. Did you forget or something?” She was joking, of course, but the smirk on her face brought one of his own as he stepped towards her with a simple shrug of his shoulders.
“And if I did, is this some kind of offer to remind me?” He challenged with a smile tugging on his lips as he spoke, tilting her chin up as she swatted his hand with a laugh.
“Oh please, as if you could handle me now, I know all sorts of tricks....you don’t stand a chance.” She was playing with him now as she folded her arms over her chest, glancing over to his car as she tiled her head, “But, if you want to try, it’s been a while. We’re both single or whatever, and you weren’t awful to sleep with. Just saying.”
After that, it didn’t take long to scurry off to his car, hopping in passenger to his sweet little red convertible. The destination wasn’t far, secluded as it overlooked the expanse of ocean, and she practically pounced into the back seat in her bikini as soon as he shifted into drive. He would’ve done the same, she was sure, if he wasn’t twice the length of her small frame. Taking his time as he slid into the back and she crawled into his lip, fingers crawling up his chest with a smirk. “Now, let’s catch up properly, shall we??”
All her life, Dani hasn’t been the best at fully opening up about stuff in her life. Chalk it up to her feeling silly, or ashamed, or stupid but she tends to bottle up her secrets and disclose a lot of information about herself. Half of it is due to reopening wounds she’d rather not think about if she doesn’t have to, but the other half is the worry of how people might look at her differently. So, she chooses to hide chunks of herself and gloss over things to avoid talking about her past and current fuck ups, which she assumes in her head is for the greater good of everyone around her, never wanting people to worry about her problems.
IMPATIENT
She’s never been one who was good at waiting, even if she doesn’t say anything out loud, it shows in small body language tells. Tapping her foot, her fingers, popping her gum, mostly if she’s nervous and waiting. Even waiting in lines drives her crazy, traffic makes her want to scream, because she just hates wasting her time when she could already be doing what she was intending. It can come off a bit bratty at times, which she will entirely own up to, but it’s something she’s never been able to get over. Lately, she’ll try and distract herself with her phone or music in her car, but she still hates it.
JEALOUS
As much as she hates to admit it, Dani has always had a jealous side. Whether it be her friends, family, or relationships, she can’t help but turn green deep down. She isn’t sure why it overcomes her at times, especially if the said person isn’t her person to begin with, but the thought of someone touching or having what she’s already deemed to be a part of her life can make her spiral deep down. Much like her other traits, she’s good at masking this trait with jokes, even if behind the jokes there’s the smallest bit of truth. It’s gotten her into trouble before, assuming that her jealousy comes with good reason when it doesn’t, and she constantly tries to push it away if she can.
Dani has always had a big heart, even when she was younger, she would always make sure other’s were okay before herself. On the playground, if someone didn’t have toys or was isolated, Dani made sure to go out of her way to make them feel appreciated. She tends to always check on others before checking on herself, never wanting any of her friends or people she cares for to feel bad or upset. Always down to be the one to lean on in low times, she’s always been the type of person to open her home and her heart to take on whatever problems her friends or close ones may be going through.
HARD WORKING
After being knocked down so many times in her past, with her life style choices, the music industry, her father, Dani has learned how to pick herself up and keep working towards her goals. No is a motivator for her, only making her want to work harder to get whatever she is chasing. It shows in her work, and the time she takes when planning out how to reach her goals. Every day she tries to take steps to get what she wants, mingling with the right people and making connections that could help her out in the long run.
CHARMING
It wasn’t until she learned how to be confident in her own that she managed to pick up this trait. When she was younger, she wasn’t too comfortable with her body and that in return made her a bit closed off. But when she turned seventeen, she noticed that the switch in her attitude and the way she talked to people without any type of insecurity lingering in the back of her mind was....exciting. It only sky rocketed when she began working at Hooters, charm was needed to get anywhere, and her coworkers influenced her in more ways than she knew. Now, she uses her charm and charisma to her advantage and enjoys meeting new people and making connections with them.
