できました！It took me a little over 10 years (yep!) to try my hand at making a bead ball again. When I first started learning how to string the beads, the outcome didn’t look like a ball at all! 🤣 Ball of mess pwede pa! So I got discouraged. Very recently, I decided to face my “fear,” got a handful of recycled beads, and started stringing again. It took one more minor mistake, but this time I got it right. This set of beads has some heft to it, so it’s better used as a bag accessory (maybe for kids?). A lighter set of beads might work for wearables like earrings or necklaces (use Swarovski, if that’s the case). Last tip: I used .40 mm nylon for the bead ball, but you can go down to a .35 mm. The last project for the weekend: bag accessories. Take a handful of loose beads + a short length of chain + lock/ clasp (preferably the swivel type) = your very own personalized beaded accessory Tip: Preferably, choose beads that complement each other. Just like ingredients, some are better paired/ combined together. P.s. These used to be called beaded camera catchers when I was learning how to make beaded accessories. Nowadays, they’re called phone straps pala. 🙂 The one on the left is made from all-new acrylic beads and plastic. However, the one on the right is mostly recycled. The pink/ yellow beads were taken from an old necklace, and the heart charm was from a charm bracelet. Somebody requested to have this rosary “fixed.” One look at the broken one (on the left) and I knew either I restring it or create links between each bead. I took the second option because I ran out of nylon string. 😅 But seriously, I think rosary beads look much better when linked. They’re more flexible, too.
