This wonderful little pea has been amazing at giving me time to have fun and reconnect with childlike laughter. She's gotten so big and is a joy to have around. She struggled a little with not being home and "kicked me out" because I refused to bring her back home ... made her sleep over for two nights ... poor girl! She spent time with my dad and he was thrilled to have her around. We see her, here and there. And it's been a really long time since dad has seen her. Familiarity is so funny. Mom and dad used to babysit her nearly every day. Right away she went over to dad. It really brightened up his day. He's been so ill these last few months. I don't think I've seen him with this much energy. He LOVES having the kids around. Early this morning, dad sent me a text to ask if "Pumpkinhead" was still at my place and to see if she wanted to come over. She did. They both enjoyed each other's company. She goes back home tomorrow.
