I can't believe we are already into January. This means that we have very little time left to prepare for the Women's Conference in March, even though there's been a lot of "behind the scenes" things going on. Today is about getting things ready for the Early Bird Registration to open tomorrow. There are still many things to do, like we need to confirm a caterer, finalize the website, get Sponsors for the event, meet up with the decorator, get the program outline to the printer, order the T-shirts, start gathering the promo items for the swag bag for each guest, and follow up with International Women's Day to have our event once again recognized by them as an event. What I've been able to complete already is securing our Speakers, confirm that we have the 21 Vendors, connect with a photographer, find a decorator, touch base with our web-designer, outline the draft agenda and create the registration link. We have two SUPER Early Bird Guests who have already registered. One paid, MONTHS ago, to be sure their spot was held. She did this way back when we were looking for our Speakers. When I look back at the progress that this idea has evolved from where it started 3 years ago to where we are right now. It's INCREDIBLE! Someone said that this event will expand to be 3 times the size as last year and my response was that I won't let it get that big as it will be capped at 75 women (including organizers, speakers and vendors). It will be open to the public on the Friday and Saturday evening socials, otherwise, it's a very intimate event with only spots for about 35-40 guests to register. Watch for Registration to open tomorrow. The Early Bird will only run for 12 days and registrations will be closing within a month after that so we have time to get the shirts ordered, the Sponsors banner plus the programs to get printed and to provide dietary restrictions to the caterer. It seems like a lot time, but that time will fly by in no time. Those deadlines will be here LONG before we know it.
