Week goals for 29-Sep to 5-Oct-2014
Start from now, for every Monday, I will post my week goals here to:
Be clear and serious about what I'm going to do with my limited time and energy.
The more people know about my goals, the more pressure it is to me to not complete them. Like one kick to the ass, two kicks to the ass, three kicks to the ass,...,n kicks to the ass ( with n is the number of people read that week goals).

So here we are:
Tumblr Blog: Daily
What: keep posting at least one Tumblr Blog per day.
Why: to be a better writer, to express my idea better. I realized that my writing is better than an average person. At school, I usually received a very high score in Vietnamese writing, this was thank to my logical and organized mind. However, it was quite challenging when writing in English with a daily manner.
How: There are three ways to achieve it:
Jot down any interesting thought that I've caught during the day into my notebook. Just one sentence about the idea.
Write anytime: whenever I feel like I have to write, I would stop doing the work and grab a pen or the laptop and start writing/typing right away. Inspiration rarely comes twice. Then I would either publish the post immediately or put it in the queue.
Write in a queue: spend my whole Saturday morning writing about subjects or things that come to mind at a creative place. The good news is if you live in Saigon, there are thousands of cafes, each has their distinguishes design and atmosphere. Then I use put all of them into the Tumblr queue to make it like I write the post everyday.
The Import Guide - Content: Priority Three
What: finish the content skeleton and then go on to produce 1 article per day.
Why: to build a knowledge base around the cross shipping/shopping. It not only builds up my domain knowledge but also a traffic source for the App later.
How:
Content skeleton: research the content skeletons of other sites, summarize them and then build up the skeleton of mine.
Write article: by summarize and then translate the content into plain Vietnamese.
The Import Guide - App: Priority Two
What: finish the first mock up of the App using Webix. A really, really simple design.
Why: to design the work flow and then get feedback from potential users to see if they really use it.
How:
Webix: design the front-end with Webix ( it is not an advanced front-end framework like bootstrap but in this case, it is the most suitable one regard my skill).
Publish the mock-up on the beta site and start getting feedback. A live mock-up would be more useful than a survey.
Affiliate Site: Priority One
What: read the Affiliate book (Build an online cash cow) and develop an action plan based on it.
Why: first, to have a side business that can provide the basic living cost to me, i.e $500/month. Second, I want to use affiliate in my business model for the Import Guide so have to get my hands dirty and harvest the fruit myself first. Moreover, the content does teach a lot about entrepreneurship ( or put feasible plan into actions) and ecommerce, sale and writing. And a lot more.
How:
Read the book: yeah, that's it. Read the book and take notes a long side to build up the action plan.
Develop the action plan: from the book, this will be a yearly one and be updated regularly when I get to other more updated materials.
