The sale of the UFC really happened this time.
And it sold for 4 BA-ZILLION dollars
Sounds like Dana White’s cut is north of $300 MILLION dollars
Dana also received a 5 year contract to remain with the UFC
He stands to make roughly 18 MILLION a year
IF what we READ was true
So what now? What is next for the UFC?
And what ABOUT the UFC is worth 4 BA-ZILLION dollars?
We have to think the new owners have big plans and possibly a new vision
The Week of UFC 200 was an amazing week
But… the best fights may have taken place a day or 2 before UFC 200
Thursday at UFC Fight night
Eddie Alvarez shocked everyone when he knocked Rafael dos Anjos out in the first round
WINNING the Lightweight Title
A lot of people… including Eddie Alvarez… thought dos Anjos might be unstoppable
In the CO-Maine Event
Roy Nelson took one of the hardest…
If not THE hardest punch…
In the history of punches from Derrick Lewis
After a dominate first round, Derrick Lewis said “I just can’t”
And Roy Nelson controlled rounds 2 and 3
Well…so we thought buuuuttt…
APPARENTLY the judges thought Derrick won 2 of 3 rounds
Giving him the official split decision victory
AND THEN… Derrick… not feeling so hot about how things went down
Asked for the opportunity to AVENGE his victory
How does that work? Are we even hyped about a fighter AVENGING a win… Hmmm
Joseph Duffy pulled off a first round win over Mitch Clarke with a rear naked choke
Friday we had the UFC 200 Weigh ins and The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale
The Weigh-ins were not that exciting
But to maybe no one’s surprise
Johnny Hendricks DID NOT make weight!
He was really close no burp could save him!
In missing weight… he gave up 20% of his purse
Soooo Friday Night, we had TUF 23 Finale
Arguably the best fight of the week
Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeats Claudia Gadelha by decision
The first 2 rounds Claudia was able to take Joanna down with ease
In round 3, Claudia’s energy quickly disappeared and like a champion Joanna kicked into another gear
Rounds 4 and 5 was all about Joanna beating up Claudia
Props to Claudia though, because anyone else would have been finished
But Claudia survived all 5 rounds

Andrew Sanchez and Tatiana Suarez
Of the 2, Tatiana looked the most impressive
Doo Ho Choi quickly knocked Thiago Tavares out
Gray Maynard dominated Fernando Bruno
Winning by unanimous decision
Gray looked like the Gray of old
AND Kevin Lee knocked Jake Matthews out in the first round
And Now UFC 200
Leading up to this dang thing there was more drama than a Jerry Springer show during ratings week

Amanda Nunes came out aggressive and beat Miesha Tate
Miesha gave up her back
Nunes choked Tate out in the first round

I mean… say what you want buuuutttt most believe in ring rust
and Brock D O M I N A T E D the 8th ranked heavyweight in the UFC
DC has taken a lot of slack, mostly from Cowboy Cerrone for taking the safe approach against Anderson Silva
DC won all 3 rounds taking the decision victory
Anderson looked really good all things considered

AND jumping up in weight
Aldo and Edgar, what is there to say
Some people really liked Aldo’s performance
Buuuutttt….
this was a slow and boring fight (like the first time… ahem)
Aldo is clearly Edgar’s kryptonite and won by unanimous decision
Cain is back y’all!
He looked like the Cain of old and heck even had new tricks!
He added head kicks and then won with a first round TKO over Travis Browne

Julianna Pena pulled out the unanimous decision win over Cat Zingano
Johny Hendricks in recent fashion lost the fight with the scale and then again with his fight in the octagon.
Kelvin Gastelum won via unanimous Decision
TJ Dillashaw won via unanimous decision over Raphael Assuncao
Sage Northcutt somehow escaped a deep arm bar to win by unanimous decision
Joe Lauzon took Diego Sanchez out with a first round TKO.
Someone needs to renegotiate
Former Champion TJ Dillashaw made $50,000
Sage Northcutt made $100,000
Joe Lauzon made $108,000
and in a loss Diego Sanchez made $80,000
I assume TJ has fired his agent, because if he lost he would have only made $25,000
Maybe hire Brocks agent. He made a smooth 2.5 million win, lose or draw.
