Kimbo Slice
Revolutionized How To Become Famous
In sports there is no one else like Kimbo Slice
Kimbo was a man of action and fought his way to a better life
Please find time to Google Kimbo Slice
Kevin was a kind, caring and loving man.
The stories out there from peers and friends are worth the read
No easy way to transition, but here… we… go…
UFC 199 Had It All
We learned that Diaz . McGregor 2 will take place at UFC 202
Or so they say
Brock Lesnar will co-headline UFC 200 taking on Mark Hunt
Before Conor was setting Pay Per View records, Brock was the biggest ticket in town
Dana White knows how to grab our attention
Who would have thought that the next WWE fighter to fight in the UFC would have been someone not named CM Punk
We also learned that you don’t want to make the UFC angry
Maybe no one puts baby in a corner
But the UFC will boot your ass
Ariel Helwani and his team was not only kicked out of UFC 199, but originally was handed a life time ban by the UFC
The UFC allegedly told him to go over to Bellator
2 days later and a very sad/hurt Ariel shared his side of the story and the next day the UFC pulled back the ban.
We did learn that most of those reporting on the UFC are also on the UFC payroll
Just ask Karen Bryant
All this and we’ve yet to talk fight results – Dang
So here we go
The Maine Event Witnessed a man float like a butterfly and sting like a Bisping
Michael Bisping KNOCKS OUT the overly cocky… premadonna Luke Rockhold
I was shocked AS was Vegas
Bisping’s win made him the owner of the 3rd biggest upset victory in UFC history
Holms 1st and Dillashaw 2nd
If you saw Rockholds in ring post fight interview, this loss could not have happened to a more deserving Jack Wagon … JUST SAYIN’
In a very long fight, Dominick Cruz dominated his 5 round decision victory
At One point Cruz hit Faber so hard, Faber’s hair style changed – HA!
Max Holloway, knowing he was ahead on the score cards, in the final seconds asked Lamas if he wanted to go toe to toe to end the fight and so they did
And Holloway… walked off with a decision victory
Dan Henderson… SORT OF lands a kick to the head of Hector Lombard
In the process, Hector leans down just enough
And Henderson connects with a vicious elbow to the head!
He then followed up with few more hard to watch elbows on the ground
Herb says no need to get to crazy with it, homie’s OUT
And Henderson walks away with a first round Nasty DIRTY Elbow KO
And her we thought Henderson might announce his retirement….but should he?
MMA Stalker says YES, this win would be a nice segway into the UFC Hall of Fame one day
Oh AND ONE MORE THING…. Dan walk away with an $800,000 pay day!
Dustin Poirier went with the first round KO
AND Awww Man, Clay Guida lost to Brian Ortega by 3rd round TKO
And Cole Miller felt Alex Caceres channel his inner Bruce Leroy and some Last Dragon Shit for realz!
Your What Hurts?
Rockhold out for 45 days to address his feelings
Side note with Rockhold
He stated he was going to prove to us all that he is the best of all time
I’m not sure how getting smoked in the first round will help with that
Maybe he meant the best fighter to never successfully defend his title
Go lay down!
Lamas on a 60 day leave or once his left tibial is cleared
(Does that work the same was the “whichever comes first”)
Lombard has a 180 days with NO EXCEPTIONS
BUT to ponder life and realize he’s not in Gotham
Normally fighters can reduce their medical suspension with a note from their physician clearing them
HOWEVER, the Athletic Commission is taking this, Hectors 2nd beating in recent fights, VERY SERIOUS
And I kind of agree… it was a nasty out OUT cold
Like my twitter feed was blowing up with comments like… he didn’t make it, he’s in a comma!
We were happy to see him moving but for a moment that was scary!!!
Dan Henderson has 45 days to ponder retirement and negotiate his future with Dana White
Anyone who lost by TKO or KO has a minimum of 45 days to get their faculties together
Sean Strickland might have fractured both of his hands. BOTH? 180 days for you my friend.
High five… Too soon?
Kevin Casey 180 days for low blood sugar. OR until he eats a Snickers
Whichever comes first…
Polo Reyes, HE TOO gets 180 days due to a possible fracture in both hands and his right elbow
You might want to ice that – ALL OF DAT!
If Dropping Out Of Fights Was a Sport
Josh Koscheck would be the greatest
Josh was supposed to fight Paul “Semtex” Daley at 158
158 was already a rescheduled might from earlier this year
If you are Paul Daley, do you even care any more about revenging the lose to Josh?
Word of the Semtex – a very pliable, odorless plastic explosive
Semtex
