So... what exactly is PokeStory?
Imagine playing a Pokémon game.
Now imagine you aren't the only protagonist.
Instead of one Trainer leaving home to save the region, there are hundreds of Trainers all beginning their own journeys at the same time. Every follower of this blog becomes one of those Trainers.
Welcome to PokeStory, a community-driven retelling of the Pokémon games where the region is alive, the story keeps moving, and everyone gets their own adventure.
•-- How does this work? --•
Once this blog reaches 100 Players (followers), the game begins.
From that point onward, this blog becomes the "Game Master" of the region. We'll post story updates, world events, breaking news, mysterious sightings, Gym announcements, festivals, criminal activity, and everything else happening across the region.
You decide how your Trainer reacts.
Maybe you're racing to earn Gym Badges.
Maybe you're researching Pokémon.
Maybe you're just trying to catch every Bug-type you can find.
Maybe you're the Trainer who somehow gets lost every single route.(Like someone we know)
There isn't one right way to play.
•-- Is this just the game's story? --•
The Pokémon games are the backbone of PokeStory. Major events, Gym Leaders, rivals, villain teams, and Legendary Pokémon will all appear as they do in the games.
But the world doesn't stop just because the protagonist is busy.
What were the Gym Leaders doing before you arrived?
How did ordinary Trainers react when Team Rocket attacked?
Who helped evacuate civilians during a Legendary Pokémon incident?
What happened in the towns the games only let you visit for five minutes?
That's where PokeStory comes in.
We're taking the world you already know and asking:
"What was everyone else doing?"
Every Player creates their own Trainer.
Do they want to become Champion?
Become famous for raising adorable Pokémon?
Your story is yours to tell.
Whenever a story post goes up, simply respond as your Trainer.

Breaking News
Several hikers have reported hearing strange cries coming from Mt. Moon late last night.
Local Rangers are advising Trainers to avoid entering the mountain alone.
What does your Trainer do?
"Sounds dangerous... I'm heading to Cerulean instead."
"No way I'm missing this. Packing extra Repels and heading into Mt. Moon."
"My Trainer volunteers at the Pokémon Center to help anyone injured."
All three Players made different choices.
All three are part of the same story.

•-- A Few Things to Remember --•
You're not replacing the game's protagonist.
You're living in the same world they do.
Sometimes you'll witness history.
Sometimes you'll help shape it.
Sometimes you'll just spend three days trying to catch that one stubborn Pokémon that refuses to stay in the Poké Ball.
That's what makes every Pokémon journey memorable.
So grab a Poké Ball, introduce your Trainer, and get ready.
Your story is just beginning.
