Rin/Rinto #39
39. secret - glitchy rin.
She remembers, sometimes, about a distant time erased from her memory.
A hand combed through her hair after a particularly grueling session, somehow soothing the aftermath her coding felt. This, she hazily thinks, makes up a little for what just happened.
“ rin.. “ A voice softly calls out, filled with pity and apologies. Rin almost wants to forgive this person. Almost.
“ i… i only messed with your coding. “ It murmurs. as if sharing something of the utmost privacy. “ i’m sorry you had to be the victim, though.. it’s all my fault, rin. i’m so sorry. ”
She tries to reassure the blurry image, but no noise comes out of her throat. The message seems to reach them, anyways.
“ ..haha, you’re a lot like sakurai-san. even after all i’ve done, you still… don’t tell anyone, okay? i like you the most out of all the androids i’ve known. i wonder why? “ A quiet laugh fills the room, and Rin can feel her lips turn upwards a bit as her eyelids close.
“ keep it a secret, just between me and you, rin. “
When she opens her eye again, she’s in a grey room with half her vision.
Can androids dream?, she thinks sleepily, disconnecting herself from her charging station. A small white coat only smiled in her memory.
