An oil pastel drawing I made sometime last year in the morning. I made this because I felt like I haven't done art that represents my thoughts in a long time during art collage.

well my guess is that reading is a healthier version of running from reality therefore it s more expensive than the alchol and cigarettes one. cuz thats how society works xD

yes, but also (at least were i live) books are kind of a privilege for the people who can pay? idk how to explain it clearly, but it goes beyond fictional/entertainment books... the issue involves study books and the basic culture and idea of a book itself. for example on most countries, school text books are provided by the state/government, where i live you only get those kind of study books if you attend a public school (and they are know for being really not complete education/bad quality) so everyone who can won't take that option and will put their kids in a private school, where not only you pay a fucking lot to just attend but also the study books are expensive as hell (like 80-100 dollars just for one study book for oNE YEAR). which ofc ends up making a huge gasp between social classes and stuff... something as simple as books and a decent culture about them. that's how fucked up society is.

We buy books with tears xD. Here in italy a books cost around 20 euros.

well it is a bit cheaper than chile but still expensive, i jUST I MEAN HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAN CONSUMING CIGARETES AND ALCOHOL IS MUCH MORE CHEAPER THAN READING A BOOK I SWEAR
