shelly has opted to make her own costume this halloween; she figures it’ll be more fun than buying one from a local shop, and probably more ethical. it’s going . . . it could be worse, but it could definitely be better. it’s clear that many of her home ec skills have been forgotten, as her fingertips are sore and red. eric’s interruption is a welcome break, actually — her hand’s starting to cramp.
“eric draven — are you inviting me to a dance?” she teases affectionately. shelly casts a wink, before reluctantly getting back to her task. this costume isn’t going to finish itself, but there is a brimming smile on her lips. shelly casts him another glance, however, her smile fully in place.
“i’d like that though. guess that means i have to hurry up and finish this old thing, huh?” she holds up the dark velvet with a playfully exasperated smile. “this could be the prom we never had together.”
