with how much knowledge d3rlord3 gained do you think it was bad enough to make him forget key aspects of his memory and maybe even people he knew. (like dementia?)

pulled this from google :) there’s a lot to it! you can try and zoom in and focus on the small stuff—oh, there’s a building here, a boat there— but it’s a lot. you can’t comprehend all of it at once. and i’m betting you can’t sort through it to find the important stuff because it all just blends together. what distinguishes this important thing from that? you don’t know. there’s too much of it. at some point it stops having meaning. he’s “lost in the sauce”, if you will

also even if you aren’t interested in tma you should deffo give it a chance, it’s a somewhat similar flavor of horror and i like it a lot (as evidenced by my insane number of posts about it)

what d3rlord3 went through when he saw beyond the golden gates is what i think would happen if jon had opened that door in his mind. the one where he’s all “the entire ocean is behind that door, and i do my best to keep it closed but sometimes things slip through, and if i open it, i drown”

and even then, if jon had opened it, i think he would’ve had an easier time of it than d3rlord3 did. not great, but at that point he had at least a little exposure to it, since he was an eye avatar. but he absolutely could not handle it. i think that it happened with jonah in the eyepocalypse, or at least something akin to it. and him, despite having been an eye avatar for 2 wholeass centuries, couldn’t stand it! jon was struggling with it too despite the role literally having been made for him!

so, imagine that, forced onto a human. a smart human, not your regular joe schmoe, but still! human! the fact that d3rlord3 managed to tank that for so long is so fucking impressive to me, it’s wild

Ok so this probably isn’t what you asked for but there’s nothing saying (as far as I know) that says they never were. So, in my very cursory research the inspiration for Belloc seems to be predominantly the Greek hero Bellerophon. So I thought, what if they were some kind of priests at some point?

Supposedly Skrael is inspired by Norse myth, so he could have been the rare male practitioner of magic. As the Norse saw witchcraft as something women did.

Hey uh—what does “a borrower AU” mean?

A borrower au is a alternative universe based on the borrowers book franchise by Mary Norton. Studio Ghibli has a film based on this franchise called "the secret life of arrietty".

Borrowers are smaller humanoids (normally depicted as just small humans) who live in secret, normally living in the walls or floorboards of a home.

They "borrow" things to survive normally like food or small trinkets they can use as tools (for example Y/N uses a sewing needle as a makeshift weapon)

Question for people who have listened to Trinyvale because I'm confused about this: it's not super important but was Nyack not born when his dad married Jens mom? Because they say you're x years old plus however many Nyack is. Am I the only one confused because I can't figure out if I'm making this up or not.
