things that still frick me up: the only nice things shen ever does in the events of kfp2 is in relation to the soothsayer

like honestly, shen has the power to kill her at any point in time and she wouldnt be able to defend herself

and yet he doesnt

in the tower scene, the only times when shen completely loses his cool is when po comments on the fact that the soothsayer looks like a guy. the second time po does it shen pulls a knife on him

he could have left the soothsayer up on the tower while it was falling– i mean considering that the next scene is the one where shen says the soothsayer was “of no use” to him anymore, why bother with the trouble of getting someone to keep her safe if he was just going to dismiss her

and the final scene. oh god, the final scene. after being the most Sarcastic prisoner/hostage(?) and basically was a thorn at his side he just. let her go with no strings attached.

remember that this is the same guy who commited a freaking massacre out of fear of getting killed himself, manipulated po into thinking his parents never loved him to gain the upper hand, and straight up killed his right hand man in cold blood in order to complete his goals

and yet he wanted to give this silly old goat a chance to get out of there before shit Gets Real

even after the prophecy, even after the thirty years of exile he still has a soft spot for his old nanny
