More on the Lapsus (and Garland!)

There are various figures of power within the divine domains who know of the Lapsus and its looming threat. Among them is Garland.

With an entire domain having fallen to its shadows, his Creator, his fellow protégés, he rightly seeks to reclaim what was lost. He acts with the sole purpose of rebuilding these civilizations among The Infernum, his hand forced to invade The Caelum for its resources and to better the odds of combating the Lapsus to do so.

Despite his more selective ambitions, it is perhaps through them that Garland has had the most success among those who would try to push back against the Lapsus and even seek to conquer it. For these ambitions are not "tainted by restraint;" in his eyes, no plane is exempt from "the price it must pay," but Mortalis especially is ripe with "affordable expense" for the "greater good."

Much of Kuja's manner of life, inciting violence and reaping its remains, originates from Garland's instruction. Mana and soul material gathered by Garland's brood and Kuja even still, despite his exile, is largely utilized in an effort to fight the intruding Lapsus - it is reverse engineered into forms better fit to chip away at it, effective and expendable.

However, it is through this engineering that another technique not utilized by others is presented: utilizing the Lapsus itself to try to destroy it; like an antivenom to a venom.
